Pilot Information

JHB Airlines has been accepted as a VA airline by IVAO and VATSIM.

Pilots may use their JHB airline callsign when flying online with the above ATC systems. Details are:

The code is what you enter in the Flight Plan. This appears on the ATC flight strips and radar screen so you must remember to change this if you wish to use a different callsign from your last session. For example you may alternate between your JHB callsign and a VFR registration for flights so please make it a habit of checking the callsign before you connect.

For voice transmissions the airline will use Diamond. If you enter JHB749 as your callsign then your radio call will be Diamond 749.

If flying VFR you can, alternatively, using an aircraft registration as your callsign but you MUST change the callsign in the connection window/flight plan prior to logging in.

For the Flight Plan your callsign should set correctly. Check this before you connect as once you join the IVAO or VATSIM server you cannot alter the callsign.

* M- is the new Manx Aircraft Register prefix which became operational in April 2007.
