The attached shots were taken from our hotel balcony last week during a short visit. I was again surprised by the way all the activities work together safely - floatplanes, whale watching craft, ferry boats, yachts. A very busy inner harbour. I'm not sure where the controllers are positioned, but from about 7 a.m until evening it's great to watch the floatplanes come and go. I gather that the only time the "runway" was closed was on an occasion when a grey whale strayed into the inner harbour.
