Airfield ICAO
|
Every airport ICAO code is a four letter
group.
Only the letters that uniquely identify each country are only shown here
- e.g. EG for the UK or K for the USA.
The remaining letters identify individual airports and are not
included. |
|
Region |
AFR-
Africa
EUR - Europe
NAM - North America
CAM - Central America
SAM - South America
MID - Middle East
FAE - Far East
PAC - Pacific
This is a rough grouping only. I use it to organise the airlines in
FS2004.

|
Registration Prefix |
The letters/numbers that are unique to each country.
These are sometimes separated by a hyphen on aircraft e.g. PH-MAR
|
|
Registration Suffix |
The remaining registration code unique to each aircraft.
These can be letters or numbers - or a combination of both.
The suffix identifies how many characters are used and of which type.
e.g. 123ab indicates three numbers and two letters follow the
registration prefix.
Note: The Laos and Panama registrations are too
long for FS2004.
